Inherited (cross between M. liliiflora ‘Nigra and M. stellata ‘Rosea’)
Has lovely smell in evenings.

Thank you Karen. It is beautiful when in full bloom. It usually blooms for 3 weeks. Sometimes it will sparsely re-bloom later in the year.
Magnolia Susan does not like hot temperatures and especially hates windy spots.
Squirrels like to eat its flowers.

There was quite a bit of re looming here last year, which I never saw in Scotland. I was very pleasantly surprised! But this year…wow! The magnolias were spectacular. :)
