I've got a couple of these self seeders, those pesky snails are annoying they've bitten off some of phlox growth already i didnt realise they went for phlox till last year :-(

Sheila, I just hope we don't have as many slugs as last year as they do so much damage.
Daylily, yesterday I did a half hour of weeding and found some tiny slugs munching on the last of the Daffodil flowers, grrr!

Blimey they are a nuisance, yes they were everywhere last year. I've found vine weevil in a potted geum yesterday too the leaves one side were dead, scraped as much soil off as I could and got in the ground :-(

Plenty of snails around with all the rain we had until about a month ago. I've put plenty of crushed eggshells in with my hostas. I squashed three red lily beetles on my tree lilies yesterday so made up some garlic spray to hopefully keep them away as well.

Daylily, I guess all creatures have their place n our gardens, but I do wish they wouldn't be so destructive to the plants!
Thorneyside, now Lily Beetles, they're gross!

That's true, there were loads of snails on our lawn this morning but I didn't pick them up :-(

We have hedgehogs around so we leave the snails for them. The Thrushes like them too. The poppies are early to flower. They are lovely to see though but seed everywhere.
