Good looking palm if slow. I havent seen photos of them in socal with large trunks. Known for its great resemblance to coconut palms.

There’s several Beccariophoenix alfredii (highland coconut palm) here with trunks. Many are with trunks less than 5 ft, though.

Yes, the younger trees’ fronds have panes and it’s native to Madagascar.
