Lovely colours Kate. These are what I love about autumn. I bought my daughter three gourds and pottery mushrooms for outside. She was an October baby too, like your sister. I hope she enjoyed her Hallowe'en birthday.

My sister loved her Hallowe'en birthday as a youngster, still does, but not as eventful!!!

the buy-word these days is monetization...(pun intended) everything is saleable and Hallowe'en has become very commercial here too. since we've been living in the country Hallowe'en has ceased to be a thing... I still carve a pumpkin, though. Pumpkin Pies! yum.. best part of my Hallowe'en as a kid (aside of the candies, of course.) Happy Birthday to your sister! <3

Sadly, it takes that nostalgic, old fashioned feel of things away from us to a fair extent.
