This tropical bottle palm is looking very good, considering we had the coolest winter and spring in 51 years. Photo taken at San Diego Botanical Gardens on Oct. 15, 2023.

It is only a 25 minute drive north. I live in San Diego and the SD Botanical Gardens are in Encinitas, CA.

It was a cooler than normal summer, also. The deserts of California were hotter than normal, though.
It’s very unusual, because the last couple of decades the summers here have much hotter and more humid than normal.
