Smashing painting, Linda! Those vivid colours really do it justice too.

I learnt something through looking at photos of Kingfishers that, the male's break is dark grey on the bottom part of the beak and the female is yellowy orange. I let the brushes do the work for the background and added the willow leaves at the side to give some depth and interest to the picture. Thakyou both for your lovely comments. Another one to give away to someone.

Thanks Rose, don't know what I shall paint next. I'm Just putting my little poetry booklets together ready for Christmas to give out to the local children. Our butchers and the local tearooms in the River gardens take them.

Gerry's printing out my Christmas edition poetry booklet, and I've drawn three pictures as well to give away to the local children. One of Rudolph, one of the Christmas stable, and the other one has letters from the word Christmas with a small drawing near each one, i.e. c for candle and r for robin etc.
