Schizolobium parahyba - Brazilian Fern Tree

This tree is in full bloom in San Diego. It’s difficult to get a good pic because its flowers are about 60 ft (18 m) up. Photo taken June 12, 2020.

This tree is native to the tropical rainforest of Brazil. It grows into a massive tree with buttresses.

I think it’s about 16 to 18 years old. It’s a very long-lived tree.
