Lychee tree for Linda

Lychee tree for Linda

This is how your lychee tree will look like in maturity Linda. Very beautiful but not really for small garden. I do not know how old this tree was but probably 50 years or more just going by the house history.

That’s a beautiful tree! Maybe one day my tree will look like this one. Lol! I think mine may have flower spikes coming out soon.

I know there’s 130 year old lychee trees here in San Diego. They’re big or bigger than this one. It does take a long time for them to get well-established here. It’s a tree that needs tons of water.

I agree, it's a beauty! Love the form it's taken on too, Klahanie. I can only dream...

Thanks Klahanie, if it grows that big I shall have to move the bungalow.......LOL. Bonsai comes to mind Klahanie.

Klanhanie,

The water table is probably high. The lychee tree would love that.

Delonix regia usually likes it very dry. It probably likes the dry season in Mexico. It tolerates a lot more rain in summer.
