Winter sun in Winteringham.

That's a lovely picture Kate. We've just been on a walk up the road and seen the sheep grazing but they had red and blue patches of colour on them. I suppose that tells the farmer how many lambs they are carrying....?

It's just nice to get some exercise Kate and breathe in the fresh air. Looking at your picture, the area seems very flat.

I saw a farming programme at the weekend, and they do mark the sheep depending on how many lambs they have.

I watched Kate Humbles program last night where she was colouring the chests of the rams. I think the colour maybe denotes that the ewes have been 'tupped' and by which ram...

Yes you right Janey, the rams put a mark on the sheep too. I love watching those programmes. On this one I was watching it was about a few farmers and one of them was a young woman who farmed on her own and had about five dogs that went around on a vehicle with her as she gathered the sheep in. She was bringing them down from the high areas to the lowers ones near the farm for the winter.

I tell you what I really enjoyed last evening, Julie Walters coastal railways travelling up the east coast to Scotland.
All the lovely people she met and learnt about their work and helping them with it. She's so warm and funny, I was laughing away to myself..:))
