I have been put off of begonias because my neighbor planted some, and the seeds have invaded my yard. I am always pulling them out as they have gotten into everything. Just one of the drawbacks to living in a warmer climate.

No problems with that happening here in the UK! Even in very mild winters, like last year's we still get a few frosty nights so the seeds would probably freeze & therefore not germinate. I pick off dead flowers almost daily to prevent them going to seed as I have no interest in growing them on - I learnt my lesson from all the years of growing Amaryllis from seed!
