Interesting - what was the truck doing? And where is the dog?

THAT HARVESTER HAS BEEN THERE FOR MONTHS. I DIDN'T SEE A DOG. HE GOT A EWE AND LAMB OUT OF HIS CROP FIELD THAT HAD GOT IN THERE.

A wonderful sight to see a farmer in action.
Is the farm house in sight of the harvester as a lot have been stolen out of barns and shed s organised crime they sell for lot in France . When I was in hospital I was talking to a British man who was visiting his mother he has bought a farm in France rather than here he was saying how he has to come back here to buy his farming machines as the are so expensive over there.
The harvester should be in action in August.

THERE ARE A FEW RUTHLESS PEOPLE WHO DEVASTATE OTHER PEOPLE'S LIVES BY THEIR SELFISH ACTIONS THRUPENNYBIT. OUR FARMERS ARE IMPORTANT TO US WITH PRODUCING THE FOOD WE EAT AND LOOKING AFTER THE ANIMALS AND CROPS. THEY ALSO TAKE CARE OF THE LAND THAT WE LOVE SO MUCH. THEY SHOULD HAVE MORE HELP FROM THE GOVERNMENT WITH THE WORK THAT THEY DO FOR US. ALL I CAN SAY IS A BIG THANKYOU TO OUR FARMERS WHO WORK ALL HOURS.

I second that thanking farmers for all the hard work they do for us Lindak .

Yes what they do for us is so important even Tesco jas changed now it only has British veg one of my grandsons is a manager he told me. .
Yes there are some greedy selfish people we have here now you would nt of got this back in the 80s .

I watched a recent program on them waiting just off a junction by the field early hours in darkness with a big low loader to take the big farm machines just before harvesting which the farmers end up with a big loss .
One farmer neighbour offered to share his machines with one farmer that was hit by theft .

I BUY MY MEAT FROM OUR LOCAL BUTCHER BECAUSE I KNOW THAT IT'S FROM OUR FARMS. I GIVE HIM AN ORDER EVERY 3 MONTHS AND HE BAGS IT UP FOR ME TO PUT IN MY FREEZER AND THE MEAT IS SUPER. ON THE ODD OCCASIONS I GET ONE OR TWO TOP UP PACKS FROM THE SUPERMARKET.

Well said Linda. We use a local butcher too, and the meat is all local. No chlorinated chickens will be there...

THANKS STERRA....MY SISTER, WHEN SHE STAYS WITH US SAYS THAT THE BUTCHER'S LAMBS LIVER IS THE BEST SHE'S TASTED FOR A LONG TIME. WHEN WE CAN GET OUR LIVES BACK AGAIN SHE'LL COME TO STAY AGAIN. AT THE MOMENT I AM STILL WAITING FOR AN OPERATION TO HAVE AN ELBOW IN. AT THE MOMENT I'VE BEEN OVER 7 MONTHS IN A SLING WITHOUT AN ELBOW AND JUST SCAFFOLDING. I HAVE A PERMANENTLY BENT ARM AT THE MOMENT AND CAN ONLY GET HUBBIES SHIRTS ON. MY OP GOT CANCELLED IN MARCH BECAUSE OF THE VIRUS.

How frustrating, to put it mildly! I am waiting for an eye op, and things are gradually deteriorating. There must be long queues of folk in similar positions - goodness how long it will take to clear the backlog. I hope you are at or near the top of the list!

Are there no "real" butchers where your sister lives? I would hate to have to go back to supermarket meat now. We can even get Wagyu beef, which I had never heard of before. Expensive (we only had burgers) but incredibly tasty and tender. Where do you do your shopping?

I HOPE YOU GET YOUR EYE OPERATION SOON THEY DO AMAZING SURGERY TO HELP. MY SISTER HAS SEVERAL GOOD BUTCHERS THAT SHE SHOPS AT BUT FOR SOME REASON THE LAMBS LIVER WE HAVE SHE FINDS BEST...UNLESS IT'S HOW I COOK IT I SUPPOSE. WE ALL COOK DIFFERENTLY AND USE DIFFERENT RECIPES. SHE IS A GOOD COOK, AND HAS LIVED ON A FARM IN THE PAST. HER SCONES ARE GREAT. I CAN'T MAKE SCONES VERY WELL.
