Not a starling lover, Linda, but this is a nice pic!

I love seeing a bird bathing...any bird! :) My OH doesn't like them either Kate, but I find them fascinating and the 'oil slick' effect on the feathers is super. Plus, they eat all the leatherjackets in any lawn. Which is something to be grateful for, as they can make a right mess of your grass roots. :)

Karen, my OH chases them away from the bird feeders! Looks like some mad man! Agree, good for the lawn in regards to munching on leatherjackets!

I have never seen them at our feeders. Weird.

Yes they have been patrolling the lawn and finding things to eat. Their plumage colouring is beautiful as it reflects in the sunshine. Kate my hubby runs out to scatter the pigeons when they all land in the garden.

I tend to chase the pigeons too, Linda! Wood pigeons drive me nutty! They make such a mess..and trample on my plants next to the feeder. Aargh!

YES KATE THEY DO WADDLE OVER ALL THE PLANTS AND WE ARE ALWAYS SWEEPING UP THE SOIL
THAT THEY HAVE KNOCKED OFF FROM THE VEGGIE GARDEN ON TO THE PATH.

Fascinating to watch aren’t they? always make me smile, we have several bird baths dotted around the garden, and the birds use them all....

YES DD THEY ARE. THEY ARE WORKING HARD FEEDING THEIR YOUNG ONES AT THE MOMENT. I HAVE TO KEEP ON FILLING THE BIRD BATHS UP AT THE MOMENT.
