Thanks Linda and Bathgate!
It’s always nice to hear of people adopting animals isn’t it! You must let us know what your neighbours cat is like and it’s name, Linda.

A happy kitty........

Thanks Dd, I hope so! Just had her in the back garden for a short spell...under our watchful eye. Too many scents and sensations I think! She was back in running around like one crazy cat! 😀

I agree 100%. Costello was adopted from the North Shore Animal League. He was 3 days from being euthanized and never saw the light of day until I said 'yes mam' I'll take him. How old is Eve and how long have you had her?

She looks very content.

Poor little Costello, saying that he’s been saved by you and taken home and now very happy! What a shame he hadn’t seen the light of day, how awful.
I was told she was born in 2018 and is almost 2 years old. I had a home assessment a few weeks ago carried out by the RSPCA, as I’d spotted her on their site. She’d been with a family who couldn’t look after her, the woman’s new boyfriend didn’t like cats! Eve was also being bullied by their other cat also. She came in to the centre covered in fleas, undernourished, terrified and was constantly scratching due to the conditions. Her fur had almost gone on her rear and also her hind legs, bless. The lady who’d then fostered her said she’d been with quite a rough lot.
This lady does a fab job of fostering cats, she has a great set up in her lovely big back garden. We visited Eve before we went to Scotland, to meet her. Then we picked her up on March 2nd. So after a long story, apologies, we’ve had her for 2 weeks. She’s a domestic short hair and quite a small cat. Very cute! Sleeps right next to me on the bed! I can hardly move to turn! ☺️

Eve looks to be a calm and contented cat. How sad she had a bad time with her previous owners, you're going to love watching her thrive now she's found her 'forever home'! :o)

That’s great to hear, Linda! I’m pleased you got to see her. It’s so nice to hear of another cat getting a new, happy home.

HOW'S EVE DOING KATE? I SUPPOSE SHE'LL BE GOING OUTSIDE SOON.

Hello Linda, thanks for asking, she’s settled really well, but, she’s still sleeping right next to me on the bed!
We have been letting her out for a short spell into the back garden, with us both being security guards. One side of the house, we’ve put some wooden boards against the bottom of the gate at the path end and I’ve been guarding the path at the other side of the house!
She been roaming the garden, OH has been standing guard at the steps up to the bund/hill..
I know she’ll have to go off exploring soon, but, I’m a bit scared as she’s still a bit skittish! Maybe I’m being a bit too protective?

SHE HASN'T BEEN WITH YOU FOR LONG KATE AND IT'S ALL NEW TO HER BUT SHE'LL BE FINE. OUR LAST CAT WAS A RESCUE AND SHE WAS VERY NERVOUS AT FIRST BECAUSE SHE HAD NEVER BEEN OUTSIDE, BUT SHE LEARNED TO COPE.

Thank you Linda, you’ve made me feel a bit better. x
