Looks incredibly deep but quite beautiful, Lori. So clean and white.

I bet you’re extremely busy, Lori. Quite an arduous time for you.

Good to see you Lori! My son has decided to emigrate to Canada! He is just in the early stages of preparing to apply (selling his home, taking his English test etc. Etc.) He is thinking of Edmonton initially...but time will tell. I suppose it depends where he can get work. Exciting times for him and I will hopefully get over to visit Canada at long last!

Kate: I can understand the appearance of beauty. It's the cold reality (minus 20 C.) that makes such a contradiction of it. Canadian winters are deadly viscious compared to some (possibly similar to Siberia) ;-) .
Karen: "taking his English test"?????? I thought Scotland was still part of the Commonwealth? Am I being silly? (sounds like hoop jumping to me!) If he's looking for a warm climate I'd suggest the Lower Mainland British Columbia or Vancouver Island. Best part of Canada, IMHOP. I would love to go back to BC. Edmonton/Alberta are plotting secession. lol.

Yup, he had to do an English test. He dropped half a point somewhere! But he did ok! Phew! Next its the biometrics. He will have to go to London for that, as there is only one company that the Canadian Government has approved and it has to be done. It is quite an onerous application regime. But hey...you don’t want just anyone in your country! I’m sure it will all be worth it.

I'm so ancient that I had to google "biometrics"...lol. I still think it's hoop jumping. please pass along my best wishes.
Hi Amy! just call me Nanook of the North. I dreaded this winter from the first snow... in all fairness it's been more moderate than the last two, but it seems we see so little green, with a growing season that's shrinking.
