Had this for about eight years. It was cut right down to six inches above the ground one year and has returned to a good size.

Two, or maybe three, years ago in the Spring as some of the leaves had turned brown. My reasoning for cutting it down so low was, well it's got two chances, live or die!
Michael was watching me and said "Well, you've killed that off now" ... ye of little faith!
