This THE "IN" plant all over the internet. When I bought it 5 years ago now..it was Holy Grail plant for many,then the market exploded later for this plant. I think it peaked..but still a bit hard to find.

Wow! That's incredible! My green one in the my back yard develops a lot of fruit every year. I've never seen a variegated one with fruit, though.

I have the all green also Ster. I should post a photo as its just got a good start climbing a tree and has well over 24" leaves pushing 30".
Its taken so long. I really had no idea how long tropicals in this climate took to reach a good size. Long. I started in earnest around the mid 90's to 2006. Before and after have been something here, and something there. Some befores go to 1978.
Then a few days ago a Venus Flytrap! Its doing well..ha.

I don't have the variegated one Stan - hope you didn't misunderstand me. I'm glad for my own sake that they are slow growing because I really don't have room for one. If I put it in the conservatory it doesn't like the direct sun and starts to curl up and if it goes in the sitting room its rather in the way - sadly our house was not designed with plants in mind at all. It was given me by a friend who had rooted is especially for me which makes things a bit difficult. I cut the top off it recently and have rooted it for a neighbour who keeps not collecting it and I would really like to see the back of it. The plant I cut it off has sent out a couple of new leaves but it will be a while before that in its turn gets too big.I do love the way the new leaves appear though, so bright and tightly rolled up - how does Nature do that I wonder.
I had a Venus fly trap for a while but it wasn't very happy where I had it and it didn't see the year out as far as I remember.
