Box planted around the edge with pansies inside.At the far end he has built an aviary (Very keen twitcher).To the right a very steep bank which is the next project.

Good idea Julia. I have just lifted quite a bit of decking wood which edged all the borders. Theses were there when we moved in and I thought about building deep raised beds with them, but unfortunately can't seem to find a space.

Great! When I was in Dorset we lifted Rachel's horrid old patio and she advertised the slabs on FB. Some people came and took the whole lot away and gave her some money for the slabs which was brilliant....and they were also building an Aviary! What are you keeping in your Aviary? I love Zebra finches. One appeared in Mum's garden when I was still living there. It made such a funny sound and we thought it must have escaped from an Aviary. We called it Oscar.

Oh my...never heard of these. They are very beautiful! And he manages to breed them too...he must be a really good and dedicated Aviary Man!
