Like you & Hywel, I, too, love Fuchsias!

Last year a friend, Dick, from church gave me several standard Fuchsias. They didn't seem to do too well but I hope this year they will settle down with me & give me months of flowers! ?

What sort of cold are these Fuchsias submitted to? Several degrees C below freezing? We had 6C below freezing on March 1st, something that is very rare here. We rarely get to more than a couple of degrees below 0C most winters but the last few winters have accustomed us bad as they were very mild.

Your photo is nice & I was surprised to see a Fuchsia flowering in the middle of March! ?

Balcony, the temperatures can drop below zero to -10C. It seems to be very strong against frost. Last year we had a black frost killing several plants but this one survived. It is a native plant, perhaps the reason for surviving the black frost.

That's good to hear! Not many Fuchsias will survive so much frost!

I used to have some homemade standard "Beacon" Fuchsias that are supposed to be hardy but the 3 died in the winter of 2010.
