I think it's a very easy houseplant to grow. It's grown here as a little shrub to 6' (2 m) or taller. It can be kept much shorter, though. It's very popular here because of its extreme drought-tolerance.

I think the flowers are yellow. Most Kalanchoe species flower during the winter.

It's surprising because it's such an easy plant to grow. It's very easy the like the common jade plant, which grows wild in many places here in San Diego

I noticed yesterday that my Kalanchoe 'bordeaux' is flowering. Pinkish. I thought all Kalanchoe had white flowers. Live and learn!

Actually they sale florists Kalanchoe that bloom in many colors. I had forgotten about them. You see them used in mass in San Francisco where its cool and frost free.

I know many species of Kalanchoe are very beautiful and last a long time.

I know many species grow in the SF Bay Area. I used to have many hybrid colors of Kalanchoe blossfeldiana when I lived there.
