I had a pure white/cream Geranium/Pelargonium a few years back, but it didn't live. As you say they need the colour to photosynthesize.

it's interesting, isn't it? I went back and took a look around to see if there were any others. Just this one, and on closer inspection the main stem is a pale green...but those leaves and the almost flowers were pure white. Because of the green stem, I was thinking it may be a chimera. I know they occur by chance, occasionally in nature, unlike the technology that produces pink and yellow Poinsettias.
