Baby fish..

If you look just above the big albino grass carp is a tiny baby goldfish. It's two years old and there are four in total, I took them out the pond when I rebuilt it and have had them in an aquarium which they've outgrown so are now back in the pond and loving it!

That grass carp is a new pond fish to me. I used to like to add different fish to the koi pond...Channel Catfish at first did well...then they got too agressive with the other fish. I added some Japanese eels..Misgurnis. They did great but You would never see them.
I once Dan,set up a 10' round 2' deep kiddie pool,held like a thousand gallons..kept a cover of clear plastic over it. By April,the days were long enough to heat it to 80f ( covered) and tropical fish I put in grew very fast- Barbs,Red Hooks..it was fun. A pump kept the water circulating fast. No filter..just the algae on the sides of the pool.
I wish I could try that again.

I did paint the outside of the pool Dan,black, to boost the heat. Made a nice vacation home for Aquarium fish.
