Euphorbia millii - Crown-of-Thorns (Euphorbia millii - Crown-of-Thorns)

This is a very common shrub here in San Diego, CA. It's very drought tolerant and common in many colors. Photo taken at the San Diego Zoo on Feb. 13, 2017.

Happy in San Diego..it would take a perfect siting and planting spot to have a chance here. I should try one in ground.

They're extremely happy here. They're almost over used in the landscape here. There's so many varieties. I love the very large bracted ones!

If you can grow Euphoribia ammak there. This one will grow easily.

When you see the pink, yellow, red and white together (the giants bract varieties), they're spectacular! My neighbors have them in pots. I pass by many on my to work.
