Philesia magellanica- 2016 (Philesia magellanica)

Having seen this growing in the wild in a part of Chile where it rains two days out of three, I'm amazed it is putting up with life in balmy Berkshire where we have had very little appreciable rain since early July. Grows to three feet in moist, acid soil, in a shady position.

This is a beautiful plant. A realistic alternative to Lapageria.
