Enarging leaves of japanese maple Shaina

Enarging leaves of japanese maple Shaina (Acer palmatum ‘Shaina’)

In spring the leaves emerge a bright red which deepen to a dark maroon (almost black) in summer. The maroon leaves turn a brilliant crimson in the fall. This is a smaller JM so it can be grown in containers.

Right now I have this in the pot against JM Villa Taranto which is emerging yellowish ...so nice contrast. Both are smaller species.
