Patch of wild violets in the garden.

Patch of wild violets in the garden.

Somewhere I read, that the soil preferred by violets is either alkaline or acid, but do not know now, what is correct.

Hi, Mark, are you real person whom I knew or a stamp?
Nice, you like my photos first, but I miss your comments and photos on GoY. Nothing has happened since 2013?

Hi Katarina, wild violets will grow in most soil types, some others may prefer a more acidic soil, but aren't too bothered, as long as the soil has plenty humus in it, and is fairly moist, but not wet, Derek.
