Did you manage to ripen any? I love their lemony sour taste, I always meant to try making marmalade with them but never did. We dont grow them here now.

It's mid December and we've not received any snow yet. It's been too warm. Day before yesterday it was 8 degrees! Unheard of.... Didn't know these could be eaten, M. So many plants are poisonous in one form (roots, leaves) and not in another (flower, fruit). It never occurred to me to check it. Thank you!

We had snow here yesterday, but it didn't last long.

I grew some this year...but they all stayed green too....maybe they need the cold..lol

oh no! I picked the fruit and the ones that were frozen early didn't have any, just the empty casings. Maybe the wild animals eat them..or the birds. I just know that they didn't change colour and the one I brought inside to dry for seed is still green. We have no snow, have had a skiff here or there but not the early winter we usually have. I'm watching my irises with concern as they are starting to show green... The long range weather says that we will have "normal" winter temps starting as late as Feb..then a long cold spring ...AGAIN! I'm worried for my perennials...they need the cold rest and the warmth of spring at the regular time ...otherwise, like this year, no apples and late planting! ah me...
