Oh wow!! That's a lovely specimen Andrew, I bought this one earlier in the year hopefully in a couple of years it'll look as good as yours !

Thanks Simbad. I bought this a couple of years ago. It was planted in a dry, shady corner in heavy clay - it seems to like it there!

That's good as mines in a similar spot :-)

Ours is in semi-shade in good garden soil, also bought a couple of years ago, the difference is yours has more variegation..... and is much larger(although ours was a smallish plant when we bought it)

DD - this had two leaves when it was planted.

My word.....well it has done well, because ours had more than two leaves, do you feed your soil Andrew?

DD - just the merest sprinkling of concentrated chicken manure, lightly forked in at the start of the growing season.

We used to use that a few years back, might give it another try.....I assume you are talking about the pellets?

I actually use the powdered form, but pellets are probably just as good.

Thanks Andrew....
