San Diego, CA. Hit By Flooding Rains

San Diego, CA. Hit By Flooding Rains

Thanks to Tropical Storm Delores San Diego was hit this past weekend by much needed flooding rains. We received from 2 - 4.5 inches (51 - 114.3 mm) of rain! This was the most rain ever recorded in San Diego and around the county for the month of July.

Yes, this has helped the drought-stressed trees/plants immensely.
It did cause quite a bit of damage in some areas of the county, though. We typically don't receive any rain in July.

Tropical's storms have been at what I guess is a record amount . We didn't get rain- but we got plenty of 65 dew points at 80f+ weather.

65ºF dew points are nothing. lol! We had 75ºF dew points and 90ºF plus temps and it was pouring rain. Talk about tropical. It was great for the plants, though. My house inside was so damp, it wasn't even funny.

Tonight the dew points are in the 65ºF range. It's suppose to get even hotter and more humid by Wednesday...maybe more thunderstorms from the monsoonal flow.

Miami had 80+ dew points...so 65 is about as much I ever want in warm weather-lol.
I have relatives in soufla.

Its getting hot again here..about 90f everyday until Friday.

The climate is..changing. I don't recall having a summer where we were having so many humid heatwaves. Except for May- lol...that was a major turkey.

I definitely would not do well in Miami (to live). It's way too hot and humid.

We have a very strong monsoonal flow coming and bringing us very hot and humid weather. On tonight's weather news, they were talking about dew points in the 70's starting on Wednesday. The heat and humidity is going to last at least a week.
