mountaineering snail

mountaineering snail

150508- The seed trays are on the top shelf of a 4-tier mini-greenhouse, so I’ve no idea how this snail got up that high, or why it bothered, when there were plants lower down. I’m sure it wasn’t there when I planted the trays; they were nesting inside each other so it could only have been on the outside one, but surely I’d have noticed?
I remove snails by flicking them off with the tip of a trowel; after a brief flight they land somewhere and no doubt will come back to annoy me again.

lol it had a brief spell in the air, not quite flying wiht the greatest of ease, but as I didn't directly kill it, it'llprobably be back, and bring its chums with it

lol I've heard of the "drop then next door", but then they'd probably do the same thing - for all I know, they do!

I bought some netting for my strawberry plant which has started flowering; i might have to make bags and put the seed trays in those in future.
