An old heirloom type..purple flowers and can grow very large unlike today's hybrids.
One funny story on this plant? It would hang down more then the 3'..it would be double that, EXCEPT!..our cats walking by broke off lowest branches. Same for Racoons I guess. You can see an almost perfect "critter high line" circling the plant.
