It has put on so much growth this year.....

Dotty, would you recommend Fatsia as a good 'screening' plant? The folk in the garden behind ours have drastically pruned a Plum tree and some shrubs, meaning we can see into their garden now through the trellis above the garden fence! I need something evergreen to grow at least to 6ft. tall and about 4ft. spread in a South facing site.

Shirley they make excellent screens..... And you can prune them when they get too large......we have three the common green, the variegated, and Spiders Webb (which is slower growing)........
We have taken out an old fence with was covered in ivy, replaced the fence....but now exposed to neighbour's car port!! not a pretty sight!!

Oh no, that's a shame! I have just posted a blog showing the view we now have since the pruning was done. Pruning, ha! More like 'hacking off branches' ... :o((
