Pachypodium saundersi 'dwarf' (Pachypodium saundersii)

One of the hardiest Pachypodiums. Takes 30f or even 28f with no marks on it. I once accidentally cut the top of weeding around it when it was in ground. Its still ticking..and looking pretty good.

It looks good. Has it flowered?

I dont think so..maybe once? That's how much I forgot about it when it was in ground- nearly under the Agave americana variegated in the front yard. I think I did see a bloom..not sure. I did get Pachypodium bispinossum to bloom in ground for a few years-photos on daves garden. Died when I dug it up. Should have left it alone.

Wow! That's great!

I'm surprised any species of Pachypodium would die when removed from the ground. They tolerate a lot of abuse.

I had my very rare species of Pachypodium in the ground and dug it up and put into a pot. It didn't like the spot.
