I've had a huge slug/snail problem this year ( as I think everyone has) so I'm glad this one survived, think I'm feeding the hedgehogs to well and they're getting lazy ,remember I said I was feeding a cat that'd adopted us well I opened the door to bring the biscuit bowl in the other night to find a hedgehog eating them!!!!

I've just realised where I've seen this variety before ... on one of the allotments where we used to have a plot. I was so tempted to pinch seed from a flower ... never did though!

Not so many Slugs this year, but definitely more Snails.

Cheeky Hedgehog ... hope the cat still looks as cute ... :o)

The rain has returned here, and so have the snails and slugs. They even go after the daylily seed pods. I hopr my hedgehog is still around to help out.

I don't know the variety Shirley I just admired it on Tommymoos photos and she sent me a tuber :-)
He was a very chubby hedgehog lol obviously stocking up for the winter :-)

I'm so so so glad it flowered for you this year in spite of the pest problems. Sorry I was NOT kind enough to tell you the details of it. It's called Dahlia Decorative 'Duet' according to the label I had when I bought it. Genus: Dhalia. Species: Dahlia Pinnata.
