Helianthus Lemon Queen

Helianthus Lemon Queen (Helianthus)

A grouping of 3 plants (one of which courtesy of Drc, thanks Denise).
Planted in the new bed back in March. It's been a long wait to finally see these cheery yellow flowers.

They look pretty. Since I sent you this I have discovered how shallow rooted they are, so to contain them is easy you can easily either dig up, divide and replant or like I do just dig around them and remove the outer roots to keep them to a manageable size each year. Careful though those bits I found root even if just left sitting on some bare soil.

I'm very pleased with them Denise.
Thanks for the advice - I will keep it in mind for future years. Bees love it too, which is good!

Ah, look! Lucky you, I am still waiting for mine to flower! Is there anything I can do to bring them on?
