butterfly on lobelia

This was the first time I'd had the chance to snap a white butterfly; took me several goes, just as I was ready to press the button, it went somewhere else. This is heavily cropped.
Just after I took this, it took off and another white butterfly joined it; they had a spiral dance round each other for a little while - I was too busy enjoying it to think of taking a pic, and when I did think of it, they went.

Lovely! You have been busy Fran. I've done no gardening at all today. Went shopping with my daughter and had lunch out together, then came home and watched a film!

I haven't done anythinf or a few days, apart from repotting some grasses and planning some bulbs that turned up when I emptied the stone trough. Should do, but, sigh, tomorrow. or the day after!

Thanks, Gee. this pic is heavily cropped - took me a whle to find the thing on the whole pic!

lately all I've been seeing are the white butterflies, the brown ones seem to have moved elsewhere, or their seasonal clocks have a different setting.

I planted a whole pack of "butterfly-friendly" seeds in the back loop bed, so hopefully enough will come up next year to give the butterflies a feast, and me some photo-ops
