It is not what I expected at all, nor the pictures on the web show this colour. Now I wonder what it is, I do not dislike it just will have to go to another spot. Finding the names of rhododendrons is almost impossible. So many hybrids out there.
It is actually darker than in this picture

It is probably rhododendron Grandiflora. It is very common, but very hardy and rarely prone to diseases.
