They will set their own seed, and so new plants come up every year.

I hadn't noticed till you mentioned it, TT, then went back to have another look - at the pic, not the actual plant, the ground is still a bit too damp for me to lie down and stretch out to get really close. But I'll keep a closer eye on the actual plant now!
