Definitely NOT messy. It looks super! I don't like messy at all, and this is on my favourites. Don't you sell yourself short. This is beautiful and very natural looking. What does it do in summer....are there other things to take over, or does the tree take over with it's foliage?

Thanks Karen! I can't actually remember very well what it's like in summer, but there is Opiophogon circling around the base of the Cercis (which will soon be in flower), and quite a few Dianthus. I'll probably add pink and white Geraniums, and whatever else is 'spare' from the greenhouse :))
