Totally agree with you :)))

Sure is Kathy, slowly but surely. You forget what the summer borders actually look like. What the white flowering Bush - its not Eve Price is it?

That's what I call a border.

Thankyou :-), I've had to dig up a bit of the geraniums as I get told off for them trailing on the lawn lol, OH cuts the grass,I must remove those bricks, we did have them edging the lawn but they were a pain to keep weed free much prefer my plank of wood and lawn edgers, everyone uses that gap as a short cut though so we've never removed them.
It is Eve Price Dawn isn't she a beauty, there's another behind this a bit further down that's taken ages to get going, both were planted at the same time, this year it looks even better than this one, you can hardly see the leaves for flowers its just not as big, think I've been lucky here old allotment land so its had lots of improvement over the years :-)

Glad you mentioned the bricks Kathy as I was only saying the other day to John how good your's looked and he said he'd think about doing it but probs best not to now, never thought of the weeds coming through the gaps. What do you mean about your plank of wood and lawn edgers? Wooden plank inserted between the border and grass? Yes Eve Price is stunning, I have one, still tiny, my Choisya's are slow to get going but Annella says once they get going they go well, fingers crossed.
Yes Amy, its nice to wander and check to see if the plants have changed over the last few hours, lol.

It certainly is Amy the evening light makes everything look lovely doesn't it :-)
It would probably have been better if they were cemented in Dawn but ours where just laid on sand the gardens not very level, where the yellow shrub is on the right there's a slight hill, we used leftover bricks from the drive and we didn't have enough for the whole garden so I thought it didn't look right,we'd have needed thousands to do the whole lot, I just use the plank of wood now and again to get a straight edge with my half moon lawn edger then just keep it clipped, sorry didn't explain that well :-)
Yes my Choisya took a while but they are lovely :-)
