Cyclamen Alpinum

Cyclamen Alpinum

Same species as the one Amy showed a few days ago her white one is less often seen(Rarer) in cultivation.
Note the five pence in the pot shows just how tiny it is.

No doubt, when he gives 5 pence to alpine, what is he giving under large shrubs and trees?

Not much value in a Five pence piece ,Would need seven of them to buy a packet of Crisps.
As for the shrubs they have Gold in the form of Fertilizer.

Yes. Money spent on Cyclamen is a much better investment than buying Crisps ..

I love them as you know but they are so small they really do need an elevated Position to show them off.

That's a very pretty plant, do you grow it indoors? I've never had much luck with cyclamen but it has been a while since I've tried one.

Rkwright

They are either in the Alpine house or the garden, most would struggle with your low temperatures.

I have never tried any outdoors but have struggled with them indoors, a lot of it has been the timing when I buy them. There are two varieties that will grow outdoors here, Cyclamen hederifolium and Cyclamen coum. I am hoping to get a couple to try this year!
