Plumeria obtusa 'Singapore' is my favorite fragrance of all plumerias.

Yes I agree with you there. The fragrance of the 'Singapore' beats the others hands down. I do adore the white more than other colours as well.

Yes, the fragrance is so wonderful!

My Plumeria 'Singapore' always did so well for many years. Last Sept of 2012 we had a horrible day when the temp was so hot (110ºF [43ºC] and stayed above 100ºF [38ºC] from: 10:00 am until 9:00 p.m.) and dry for so many hours it burned my plant so badly. One branch was cooked and I had to remove it. It has been struggling ever since.

That is sad to hear. Here's hoping it eventually comes good.

Thanks you.

My Plumeria 'Singapore' was sent to me back in 1996 from my good friend in Hilo, Hawaii (as a small cutting). I would hate to loose it.

My P. 'Singapre' is the only plumeria which can bloom all year here in San Diego (depending on the weather).

Exactly, I agree with Milky. I had never seen these flowers in reality and never smelled to them. But the photo and dialogue is excellent.

Lol, we do tend to natter on don't we!! I think the lesson is though, that you just never give up. That's the thing about gardeners all over the world. I think we're the most optimistic people ever!

Bernieh; Milky:

That's very true: stay optimistic.

You never know if it will grow if you don't try it. I used to tell gardeners up in the San Francisco Bay Area this all the time. Even in San Diego people say certain tropical trees/plants just will not grow here, and then I show them dozens or hundreds of trees/plants which "won't grow" here! LOL! This is the reason why I don't like making definitive statements, because I'm almost always proven wrong!

Exactly!
