When I just purchased this Heather plant, the flowers were white (see old growth), once planted, it immediately turned wine red with the new growth. Now I can re-create a scene from "Wuthering Heights" (background) right in my driveway!

Thanks Jane. I'm very happy with this plant. I have another one planted next to this that is blood red. I love how they stay in bloom for weeks and weeks. I take it that my plant is happy since it went from white, to purple or what color would you call this??

apparently they do sometimes start one colour then turn...i might say shades of pink....overtones of purple...pinkish/purple...

i adore wild heather...the moors are so inviting....
"Wuthering Heights" very dramatic...
I've dreamt in my life dreams that have stayed with me ever after...
