They are very fragile and no, they will not pick up. Mine looked the same after a storm. Sorry to see yours like that too BJS.

A lovely splash of lilac Bjs. Mine seem to flop over in any wind. I dk the name of mine but it looks similar to yours. I have had it for the forty years we have lived here. It was in the garden when we bought the house. I decided to move it one year but I could not have taken all the root as I now have two clumps instead of one.

Scotsgran they respond to splitting up as they exhaust the soil after a few years, this one has a chequered pattern on the petals and leaves not much wider than a narcissus.( C.Agrippinum)

It's so upsetting when they get flattened, as they always do here. greenhouse would be the best place for them, but they look so lovely under shrubs and trees.

sorry to see the poor bedraggled thing, Bjs, and judging by previous comments, doesn't seem much chance of it recovering. losing plants is always painful.
