I was surprised to see this flower emerging from the leaves this morning. It looks a bit like a tulip doesn't it?

HB I think it could be a cream Clivia? our orange one starts off like this....

Morning Homebird, I have only just found out that it is a member of the blood lily family and originates from South Africa. Three of the four plants I have left have flowers on them, and they always flower in September. When my mum died some years ago now, we found this plant on the top of a cupboard and it was half dead. I took it home and it thrived and I have split it up no end of times. I'm so pleased that it has flowered for you Homebird.
