Pleioblastus auricomus (Golden Bamboo)

Pleioblastus auricomus (Golden Bamboo)

This was, I have to admit, horrendously expensive (£20) but I really fell in love with it and was looking for something for a pot for my front gravel garden. Apologies to those friends who are squeamish about the terrible cost of plants in GC, but I really love it, and I've been ever so restrained lately (you may have noticed!) :)

Karen you were wise to put it in a pot even though it will probably crack it ,as so many it goes by under ground runners .You should have said you wanted it.!
Have a green and white one as well don't know the name, have to chop chunks out of that as well

I am focusing on what we already have achieved and weeding that kath! :)

Thanks Brian! It is a good strong pot, so it should be ok for a couple of years anyway, but thanks for the heads up! :)
