...today's haul. a crate of peaches from the glasshouse; Basil, Coriander, Parsley and Chives; Red Onions, Red, pink and Yellow Beetroots, White Turnips, Runner Beans, Tomatoes from the glasshouse, Leeks. all heading for the Castle Restaurant.

Kath, it was a real pleasure helping Chris to harvest this lot! The best bit was cutting the herbs...the smell...Oooh, so lovely!

Wow what a fabulous crop and so nice to know it's being used in the restaurant fresh from the gardens , Do they have heat in the glass houses Karen , our Peaches are not ready yet !

A very good idea, several places are doing this now, Ramond Blanc at his lovely restaurant grows all his own produce in a beautiful garden, much healthier for everyone concerned....always fancied growing peaches!!

Hi Bilbo....we can really take whatever we like. Only fair really, as we give our time for free. I've had a peach, a couple of wonderful Apricots, and some of those lovely white turnips too. I'm hoping that the Kiwi fruits will ripen, as I love those..oh, and I also had a sample of the black grapes, which were nice as well! :))))
