Hi Cinders, wish I knew what it was lol, it's an acer, and stays a lovely colour. Summerbreeze, what you need is some lovely geums and forget-me-nots with the odd Welsh poppy and euphorbia ...and polemonium:-)

You have done yourself proud,Ba..a lovely well filled garden,and I love the tree too..fine here at the moment,but still a chilly wind..combination of a couple of days of sun,and then rain..ideal conditions ,,but would prefer a lot more sun for a change !x.

It's quite old now Ydd, just hope I can keep it for a lot longer:-)

Not now we aren't,Ba..pouring down now..we are playing with Thomas and a train set at the moment..for Russell's benefit mostly..:o).he is still a steam train Fireman in his head :o) Dr Beeching put a stop to that!..he has been waiting such a long time for someone to play trains with Lol..not really my idea of fun ..:o)
