Katarina , it is approximately 4' tall now and is 5 years old. It has probably 2 feet more growth ahead of him.

That is around 1.5 m, if I am right. That is not so much for grandiflora. But it is dandy.

Wow, what a beautiful boy it is, lol. If it hasn´t that deeper blotch it would look like R. catawbiense Grandiflora, which I have in a front garden. Will bring its photo when it will start to bloom.
