Well, Surreylad, we have abnormal weather, we jumped from winter into 28-30 degrees of Celsius in a day. Sunny days, high blue sky. Today there was a short shower after 2 weeks of sunny weather.

Wow.. Hope it stays nice for you :-)

Forecast for weekend sounds good. And how about your area?

Just a tiny drop! It's lovely!
My son has just returned from honeymoon in Prague. Apparently it was unexpectedly hot there as well. It's been really lovely here today.

Ah, I hope he had time to look around Prague ;-)

Well now, he did! And they loved the place. He took some lovely photos. He was only sorry most of the churches were closed except for Mass, which - understandably - he missed, because it was at 7am!

Czechs are unbelievers ;-) 80 % of population doesn´t believe in God. At least that is what poll says. But it is not the reason why churches are closed. It is because of international organized crime with art from churches...
Mass...it is always early in the morning, old tradition.

Yes - security is a problem here as well. Most churches are closed except at mass times. Sometimes there is someone on the premises and the church stays open, especially in town centres. And there is quite often a lunchtime mass.

Catholic churches in Slovakia are opened during the whole day, if they are in towns. In villages and on solitary places (like mountain areas) they are opened only during the mass. Majority of Catholic churches here have mass at 6 a.m. and 6.p.m. during the week and on Sunday there are two more, usually at 8.00 and 10.00 a.m.
I am Protestant, so far we all know when the church is opened ;-)
