Echinops Sphaerocephalus Arctic Glow

Echinops Sphaerocephalus Arctic Glow

I can never remember the full name of this white Echinops (globe thistle) but I came across the label when I was looking for something in my potting shed just now.So I thought I'd put a picture up that I took last summer.I love this as you rarely see the white ones. The bees love it too!!

They're lovely Paul - I want some of these type things - we had one called blue hobbit - wonderful additions

The is on my rockery which I made by adding lots of grit/sharp sand and topsoil Paul as I don't think it would like my heavy clay!!!
Tends to like poorer, light soils!!!

Excellent photo,Paul.
It has incredible texture. Oddly, if I was a bee it would slightly remind me of a honeycomb.

I could always pinch some from the referees bag ...... a comment which will make no sense whatsoever to anybody else!!!

Some of the refs down our way recently could do with some ranges or ibuprofen, to loosen their joints so they could keep up with play Shirley...ha.ha.Usual footsie fan moaning about ref!!!!
